今日劉美君突然於微博以英文留言指父親離世：「My mind knows that you are in a better place, where there is no pain. You are at peace, I understand that...If only you knew how much those little moments with you mattered to me...I'm still confused, exactly which pain is worse? The shock of what happened or the ache for what never will...?May you rest in peace, Daddy! Xoxo.11.1.2017」
她的意思是：「我知道你現身處在更好的國度，沒有痛苦的國度。你在安息，我知道的⋯⋯只是如果你知道我們相處的短暫日子裏對我是何等重要的話，我仍困惑，哪傷痛更痛？是突如其來的震驚，還是永不知道的傷痛？願安息，父親」。
