（吉隆坡1日訊）昨日傳出，疑非法挪用逾80萬令吉基金以攤還本身與其妻子的卡債，而將被反貪污委員會傳召問話的巫統領袖，被指是巫統新任主席兼前副首相拿督斯里阿末扎希？


根據消息告知英文《星報》指出，這名新科黨主席也是有關基金會的主席，如今他被懷疑涉及一項基金被濫用案，反貪污委員會明日料傳召這名領袖錄取口供。

根據了解，有關基金會於1997年成立，主要作為消除貧困用途。

消息說，目前反貪會擁有多份文件，顯示阿末扎希與其妻子的交易記錄。


「我們想了解清楚，阿末扎希引用基金會資金是否為自己所用。」

同時，反貪污委員會也將針對阿末扎希在2015年8月22日所指，前首相拿督斯里納吉接受沙烏地阿拉伯王室的捐獻一事，錄取一份口供。


不過，截至目前，反貪污委員會官員還未成功聯絡阿末扎希，確認有關錄供日期。

巫統新主席拿督斯里阿末扎希說明，被指遭濫用還用卡債的基金，是源自他和其他朋友的捐款，唯他會針對此事，向反貪會解釋。


他今日在記者會上證實，自己已接獲反貪會傳召，於明日前往反貪會錄取口供，但目前還不知確實的時間。

阿末扎希今日在巫統大廈召開當選巫統主席後首場記者會時，這麼指出。

詢及屆時反貪會是否也會調查巫統被指曾收取一馬發展公司資金課題，他披露自己不知道反貪會將詢問什麼問題，唯他會全力配合當局調查。

「巫統也已向反貪會提呈請求信，暫時解凍巫統銀行戶頭，以便他們可以支付職員薪金和交付其他開銷。」


前副首相拿督斯里阿末扎希將在周一到反貪會錄口供，協助調查他疑挪用某基金逾80萬令吉，來償還自己與妻子的信用卡一案。

據《mstar》報導，阿末扎希是有關基金的主席。

反貪會已經掌握數個文件，懷疑阿末扎希自2014年起，用該基金的資金，支付了自己與妻子的信用卡欠款。

阿末扎希被指在2014年與2015年，前後挪用了該基金的80萬資金，另外還有5萬5000令吉是用在其妻子。


在剛落幕的巫統黨選，阿末扎希擊退原任巫青團長凱里與巫統元老東姑拉沙里，成功中選為巫統主席，與新任署理主席拿督斯里莫哈末哈山搭檔。


THE Malaysian Anti-Corruption (MACC) is expected to question newly minted Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi tomorrow over allegations that he had used funds from a foundation to settle credit card bills, The Star reports.

The former deputy prime minister will also have his statement taken over his alleged claim in 2015 that a member of the Saudi royal household donated the US$700 million which went into former prime minister Najib Razak』s bank accounts.


Sources told the English daily that several documents have been found showing the payment transactions to Zahid and his wife using the foundation』s funds.

It was to settle a credit card bill owned by Zahid and his wife amounting to RM800,000.


「We will want to find out if there is any truth to these claims of Zahid using funds from the foundation for personal use,」 a source told The Star.

Zahid is the chairman of the foundation that was registered in 1997 whose purpose was to eradicate poverty.

「Investigators will also be asking about a statement which he made about him meeting a Saudi prince. We would like to find out more about this person whom he is said to have met and what transpired during the meeting,」 said another source.

Zahid revealed the meeting with the Saudi donor on August 22, 2015 at the opening of the Sri Gading Umno division.

He said the donation was in view of Malaysia』s commitment to fighting terrorism and being a moderate Muslim nation with a plural society. – July 1, 2018.
